Grand Marnier, Mango, and Mandarin Mimosas
Mother’s day is here again. And nothing says Mother’s day like Brunch. And, what says brunch better than mimosas? Grand Marnier, Mango, and Mandarin Mimosas is our spin on the original. Your basic mimosa is champagne and orange juice. To kick it up a notch we add Grand Marnier. And, to give a unique flavor, we add in mandarin and mango. This gives it a slightly more tropical effect and launches it from a wine drink to a cocktail.
Mimosas have to be made at the time of service. We recommend making a pitcher and drinking it fast before the bubbles go down. I know, this doesn’t sound like drink responsibly. But, it is brunch. And, doing some day drinking is always a good thing. It’s mother’s day. This is Mommy juice. And, given kids these days, mommy needs some relaxing time. Just, don’t plan on going anywhere.
These go down smooth and fresh. Just a tip. You want to use a decent sparkling wine. But, I wouldn’t use a fine champagne. Why spend $50 on a bottle if you’re going to mix it with juice. You want something that you can tell is quality. But, there is no need to break the bank on something that is overpowered by juice.
