You have Psychic Powers

Today, most people celebrate Halloween, a misunderstood, or more accurately, misrepresented day. We’re going to celebrate something else. It’s national increase you’re psychic powers day. But, you knew that because You have Psychic Powers. As Emo Philips said: “If you believe in psychokinetic powers, please raise my hand.” People find amazement in Psychic abilities. Oohs and aahs of how did he know that or do that follow the tiniest display of prescience. OMG! How did he know it was going to rain tomorrow? Maybe the weather report? But, the truth is, we all have some latent psychic abilities. Most people just don’t know how to access them.
You think of a friend, and suddenly you get a call from them. You want to go to a concert, but, make up an excuse to get out of it. Then, there is an accident at the show. You have a dream of smoke, then the next day you burn your dinner. These all fall in the realm of psychic ability. But, most people don’t have the ability to control or understand their own psychic abilities. For some, it comes naturally. But, for most, it’s something you need to practice. Even the good ones need practice. It’s like playing a musical instrument. We all know how to play the flute: blow in this end, and move your fingers up and down the keys. Some can make it sound beautiful. Others sound like air blowing through a tube.

Is it real?
People talk of a bond between people, like a mother and her child or Shields and Yarnell. That bond transcends our knowledge of the world. Since it can’t be measured on a physical scale, it appears as a mystery. But, as with religion, we accept it as fact. It’s psychic. So, we acknowledge that psychic abilities are real. We just don’t believe in them because we have no tangible way to measure them other than through our own subjective experience. If you’ve been to see a fortune teller, psychic or medium, you probably brought a healthy dose of skepticism with you. That’s a good thing. While psychic abilities are real. Charlatans are even more so.
To tell the difference requires a bit of psychic ability on your part. When a medium says ” I have an uncle here (or maybe a brother or spouse) who wants to talk to someone with a J in their name”, they’re phishing for someone to say “that’s me!” There are people who actually do have a connection. But, most of what you see is just someone who can read people and feed them lines that make sense to the person in the audience. While this may be dishonest, they usually give some sort of sound advice. Your loved one tells me you’re having relationship problems. Don’t judge, just listen. You will know what to do. The deceased “loved one” has nothing to do with it. It’s just good advice.
How do you know if you have psychic powers?
Chances are, you probably have some indication, but, you miss it. Everyday, we spend hours on devices, have a ton of visual and audio stimulation constantly bombarding us, and relax watching TV or some other interaction. Even if we step away from the devices, nature itself, and interaction with people and things is enough of a distraction. To tap into the psychic world, you need to block out the physical. We are constantly stimulated. So, even a couple minutes of solitude evokes boredom, and we begin to fidget and look for something to fill the emptiness of the moment. Even sitting on the toilet, we’re tempted to interact with a device.
If, instead of trying to counter the effects of boredom, we embrace it, we may find out a little bit about ourselves. This is what meditation is about. And, this is how you learn that you have psychic powers. Instead of letting your mind race on about what’s for dinner, if the Patriots will beat the Dolphins, or does he love me, does he not, just check in with your body and mind. You may just discover things about yourself, like you have premonitions and the ability to self heal or heal others. You may have a connection with others you know, and even those you don’t. Have you ever met someone and right off the bat, you felt a connection? That’s a psychic ability. Recognize it.
You may ignore that you have psychic abilities
Just like with 12 step groups, the first step toward developing your psychic abilities is accepting that they exist. But, they aren’t a “problem” as in the 12 steps. These abilities are a good thing. Instead of eradicating them, embrace them. If you have a good or bad feeling about a person or situation, don’t ignore that. That’s your psychic ability. It could be wrong. It could be right. Ask yourself: “why don’t I trust this person?”. It may be misguided. You won’t know if you blindly accept it or ignore it. Sometimes, people surround themselves with bad influencers. So, you may pick up a distrust for someone who allowed others to control their aura. They may turn out to be a good person outside of the situation. Or, they could be pure evil.
This is why you want to develop your psychic abilities. Learn to recognize false positives and negatives. There are people to be wary of, and others to embrace. When you develop your abilities, you can distinguish between the two. Is it the person, the situation, or a combination? Is your fear of this dog because it’s mean or is it your fear that makes it mean? In other words, are your emotions creating antagonism or is the danger from the external source? You have the power to control scenarios inside of you. Call it Psychic abilities or whatever you want. But, as PIL sang: anger is an energy. So are love, fear, respect, ambiguity, and more. Our emotions and those of others influence everything around us. To control it, you need to develop your psychic abilities.
what to do since you have psychic powers
I didn’t realize I had psychic powers until I studied reiki. That’s when I discovered we’re all connected to a force we just don’t understand. It may be a universal power or it could just be inside each of us. Either way, there is a force we can tap into. And, it can be utilized in a number of different ways. Most people don’t know how to tap into it. It requires getting your mind and body into a certain state. Meditation is a good method. Our bodies work on multiple frequencies. The frenetic nature of daily life isn’t conducive to accessing the higher self. So, blocking out unnecessary distractions helps tune into the desired frequencies.
But, don’t think you’re going to be a virtuoso right off the bat. Psychic abilities come in many forms. Some people have very visual experiences vs auditory or other senses. I knew a medium who had a keen sense of smell manifested in his abilities. So, when you practice psychic abilities, find out what is most prevalent for you. Before long, you may be healing the sick, levitating and predicting the future. So, here”s your first test. Can you guess what comes next in this post?

- 2 oz German Cascade hop pellets
- 1 Tbsp Irish moss or clarifying tablet optional
- 11.5 grams lalleland yeast or similar
- 3/4 cup priming (corn) sugar
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Bring 2.5 gallons of water to a boil. Put grain malts into a cheesecloth bag. Put in the boiling water. Turn down the heat to a simmer. Allow to simmer for 40 minutes.
- Remove the bag of grains and whisk in the malt extract. Turn heat up to a boil. Whisk occasionally to keep from scorching.
- Add in the Amarillo hops. Continue boiling for 40 minutes.
- Add the American cascades and Hallertau. Boil for 10 minutes.
- Add the remaining hops and continue boiling for 10 minutes. You can also add in Irish moss or other fining ingredients at this point to help clarify the beer.
- Remove from heat and strain the liquid into a sanitized large tub/racking bucket.
- Transfer the strained liquid to a sanitized carboy. Then add cold water to fill to 5 gallons. Test the specific gravity, sugar and potential alcohol at this point.
- When the "wort" has cooled down to room temperature, Pitch the yeast. Then put a sanitized rubber cork with a blow off tube in the top of the bottle. Put the carboy in a dark room or closet where it won't be disturbed. Put a large container with a little water in the bottom next to the car boy. Put the end of the blow off tube in the container submerged in the water.
- During the primary fermentation, the first 3 days will be extremely active. Check the beer daily to make sure it isn't overflowing. Don't let the cork get dislodged.
- After 3 days the activity should be minimal. Switch the cork with blow off tube for a cork with an air lock with water in it. Make sure to sanitize this too. Allow to sit for another 11 days.
- After 2 weeks, it's time to bottle. Sanitize your equipment, bottles, and bottle caps.
- Boil priming sugar and water together. Allow to cool.
- Transfer beer from carboy to racking bucket. Strain if necessary. There will be a lot of sediment (about an inch) at the bottom of the carboy. Avoid as much of that as possible.
- Take measurements at this point.
- Whisk in the priming sugar. Then transfer the beer to sanitized bottles and cap with sanitized caps.
- Put the bottles in a dark room or closet where they won't be disturbed for 2 weeks.
- After 2 weeks in the bottle, they are ready to drink. Refrigerate and serve. Drink responsibly.
